Fits the BP555e series, BP500, BP555S, BP555L, BP554, and BP556 series gummed tape machine from Better Packages. The 123P-E585C spring will also work.
This spring pulls the cutting blade back down after the solenoid disengages. One side of the spring is connected to the front of the cutter yoke, the other side is connected to the front of the solenoid base plate.
If the blade is not even with the oiler pad also check to make sure there isn't something under the blade or an accumulation of adhesives on the back of the blade. This will also interfere with the function of the solenoid.
