The E555-005-01 Solenoid Assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part designed to control the cutter mechanism in Better Pack gummed tape dispensers. When energized, the solenoid pulls the plunger down to raise the blade and dispense tape. Once power is off, the cutter spring pulls the blade through the tape, cutting it cleanly and returning the plunger and yoke to the resting position.
This assembly fits a wide range of models including BP500, BP555e, BP555S, BP554, BP556, and BP555L. (Formerly Better Pack part number E550.)
If you hear a buzzing noise from the solenoid, inspect and clean the plunger to ensure smooth operation.
