The E555-069-01 Tape Sensor Assembly fits Better Packages BP555eSA and BP555eLA gummed tape dispensers with automatic tape dispensing functionality. This sensor clicks into the back of the heater (Part # E555-007-01) and detects tape presence to control dispensing.
If the sensor is cracked or wires broken, the machine will beep with every piece of tape dispensed.
To remove the sensor, use a small flathead screwdriver to gently push one side out of the heater fastener, then wiggle it off the post.
It’s recommended to remove the sensor before ordering a replacement to avoid damaging the heater.
If you need to replace the heater cover, order Part # E555-029-00.
The BP555eS model does not use this sensor because it lacks automatic dispensing.
Check your keypad for the model name or look for an “A” button at the top right of the keypad to determine if your machine requires this sensor.
