Care & Maintenance: Initial setup requires washing new brushes with dish soap (like Dawn), rinsing thoroughly, cleaning the water tank, scraping adhesive from under the heater, and oiling the felt pad. Clean every 1–2 weeks with a mild detergent that does not contain moisturizer. Rinse well before reinstalling. The high point of the brush should face the front of the tank. Replace brushes every 3–5 years, or sooner if glue buildup occurs or tape stops sticking. Avoid used or refurbished brushes for optimal results. Tip: Encourage users to rinse brushes every time (or every other time) the water bottle is refilled.
Installation Notes: The new single wide brush wedges easily into the brush retainer. For older triple-brush setups, insert the cotter pin under the brush retainer and snap the brush into place.
